Transient Held in Security Guard Stabbing

HUNTINGTON BEACH — A security guard at Old World Village, 7561 Center St., was stabbed in the neck early Sunday, and police arrested a 25-year-old transient on suspicion of committing the crime.
The victim, Eddie Silvano, 30, was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was in stable condition.
Arrested was Aaron Zelen, who police said was apprehended in Old World Village shortly after the stabbing. He was being held at Huntington Beach Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers said Silvano was stabbed with a knife but they could add no information about the events leading to the confrontation.
