PerfectData Reports Loss in 2nd Quarter
PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley supplier of computer and office maintenance products and accessories, reported a $102,000 net loss for its fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30.
A year earlier, PerfectData earned $92,000. Its sales for the latest quarter were essentially flat at $1.84 million.
For the six months, the company lost $156,000, while its revenue fell 8%, to $3.49 million. In the comparable period a year ago, it had a profit of $240,000 on $3.8 million in revenue.
PerfectData blamed its recent losses on write-downs of inventory as it reduces prices and discontinues certain products.
