In the Arroyo Grande boys’ tournament:
Fountain Valley 54, Laguna Hills 36--Phil Domingo scored 17 points and Daniel Keller had 14 for Fountain Valley in the first round. Jessie McDonald had 14 for Laguna Hills (2-4).

In El Dorado tournament:
Corona 76, Canyon 45--Johnny McKee scored 17 points, Eric Knapp had 15 and John Betham 14 for Corona (6-1), which led the semifinal, 17-9, after one quarter, 33-22, at the half and, 57-29, after the third quarter. Ryan Walker had 15 points for Canyon (2-3).

In the Maui tournament:
Brethren Christian 54, Kohala (Hawaii) 49--Guard Jason Conley had 14 points for Brethren Christian (3-3) in a first-round game.

In the Sonora-Troy Cage Classic:
Corona del Mar 72, Sonora 67--Senior forward Ramin Bastani had 27 points and Jeff Schroeder at guard added 17 points for Corona del Mar, which came back in the fourth quarter to edge Sonora in a semifinal game. Chad Fister led Sonora with 16 points; Sergio Hernandez had 15 points.
Century 62, Troy 43--Ike Harmon scored 31 points and had 10 rebounds for Century (7-1) in a semifinal game. Greg Abbott scored 18 for Troy (6-3).
La Quinta 65, Southern California Christian 44--Guard Greg Greenfield had 22 points and Kevin Doane added 17 points and 13 rebounds for La Quinta (3-3) in a consolation game.
La Serna 73, Whittier Christian 70--Despite a fourth-quarter rush by Whittier Christian, La Serna was able to hold on. Guard Jamaal Tuner, who had four three-pointers and a total of 31 points, was a major factor for La Serna. Kwadwo Boachie had 16 points for Whittier Christian in the consolation game.
Western 61, Westminster 48--Neil Hensley had 19 points and eight assists and Paul Lindemeyer had 13 points and eight rebounds for Western (6-3) in a consolation game.
La Mirada 54, Fullerton 53 (2OT)--Ryan Schatz scored 16 points and Sam Mankiewicz added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Fullerton (5-4) in consolation play. La Mirada’s Jason Cassady made three free throws for all of La Mirada’s points in the second overtime.

In nonleague games:
Bolsa Grande 65, Aliso Niguel 43--Forward Juan Pham had 16 points for Bolsa Grande (3-3).
Edison 72, Esperanza 57--Jason Sist had 23 points, including five three-pointers, for Edison (3-1). Ali Tofighi added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Chargers.
