Winds Ease After Buffeting the County
Gusty Santa Ana winds of up to 30 m.p.h. blew across Ventura County on Wednesday, but died down by the end of the day without causing serious damage.
By this afternoon, the westerly Santa Anas will be replaced by easterly sea breezes blowing at up to 15 m.p.h., said James McCutcheon, a meteorologist for WeatherData Inc., a forecasting service.
And a cold front moving into Northern California will usher in some cloudiness in Ventura County today, although Friday will be mostly sunny, he said.
The Santa Ana winds are not forecast to return for the rest of the week.
