During the past year, the approval of a card casino has been discussed, defeated and is not back again on the front burner. The differences between earlier proposals and this one are profound.
Today, there is a concept that is very innovative and responds to the dire need for a project that will put Oxnard on the map in a favorable way. This proposal includes class restaurants, a deli, top-notch entertainment, gift shops, banquet facilities for up to 1,500 people, art and style shows, supervised areas for parking, conventions, seminars and boutiques.
There is not anything in this county that is remotely close to this project. The individual who proposes all this is to be applauded and encouraged to bring it to fruition.
