OUTLOOK
Prinz will be using this season to build his program after last year’s disappointing show. “We are learning the game and improving on the fundamentals,” Prinz said. “We are trying to establish our program.” He is excited about the season though, with the addition of assistant coach Steve Kliff from Chicago. Senior pitcher Wanders is well respected in the league and other coaches expect him to be among the best this season. He will be attending the University of Hawaii next year. Last season he was 4-4 with 53 strikeouts and a 2.37 earned-run average. Cook, a senior DH who batted .321, also returns to the starting lineup. The Tritons have a promising group of newcomers. Castenade will be the starting second baseman up from JV. Anderson returns after taking an around-the-world trip and will be in the outfield. Prinz also looks forward to the addition of sophomore catcher Madair, up from JV.
