Fluor Daniel Inc. has contributed $50,000 to establish the Fluor Daniel Graduate Teaching Fellowship in the UC Irvine School of Engineering.
The contribution is part of a five-year, $250,000 commitment to provide two graduate fellowships a year for those studying remediation or waste minimization through the school’s environmental engineering program.
The goal of the program is to have an immediate impact on industry’s ability to address environmental cleanup opportunities, university officials said. The School of Engineering is enlisting industrial participants and has planned a program of fellowships, industrial team-teaching, laboratory research sharing and summer student internships.
