Tuna Recalled in California, 16 Other States: Bumble Bee Seafoods Inc. said it is recalling some 6 1/8-ounce cans of water-packed solid white tuna sold in plastic-wrapped multipacks because some of the cans may be damaged. The San Diego-based canner, in a recorded toll-free telephone message to consumers, said: “While we believe there is little or no health or safety risk involved, we are withdrawing these multipack products . . . as a precaution.” The message promises full store refunds for the cans, purchased since August, 1993, in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.
