CRENSHAW : Minority-Owned Firms to Get Aid

Bank of America and the U.S. Department of Commerce have announced a joint effort to help increase the number of minority-owned businesses in Los Angeles.
At the Bank of America branch at 4103 S. Western Ave., bank and federal officials detailed plans of the venture last week. The federal Minority Enterprise Growth Assistance Center in Los Angeles will help minority business owners prepare loan applications.
The center will also offer management and technical assistance and establish a panel to review rejected loan applications.
