COSTA MESA : Anti-Child Abuse Volunteers Sought

Volunteers are sought by the Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center to work with families where child abuse has occurred or is at risk of occurring.
The volunteers work as parent aides, teaching the family parenting and communication skills, problem-solving techniques, financial budgeting and how to find community resources.
Bilingual volunteers are needed as well as college students and couples.
Volunteers take three sessions of training. Those will be held July 13 and 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and July 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all at 2482 Newport Blvd., Suite 7, Costa Mesa.
