Capistrano Valley 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Lindsay Mayer had 28 assists and Katie Wilson had 10 kills as Capistrano Valley (3-3, 1-0) won, 15-8, 15-9, 15-0.
In the Century League:
Orange 3, Foothill 1--Wendy Ames had 14 kills to lead host Orange to an 8-15, 15-9, 15-4, 15-10 victory. Orange is 7-0, 1-0.
Villa Park 3, Canyon 1--Susan Mendez had 22 assists to leads Villa Park (7-0, 1-0) to a 15-13, 13-15, 15-13, 15-4 victory.
In the Academy League:
Capistrano Valley Christian 3, Liberty Christian 2--Jennifer Hallen had 11 kills to lead Capistrano Valley Christian (4-2, 2-0) in the 8-15, 15-12, 5-15, 16-14, 8-15 victory.
In the Arrowhead League:
La Sierra Academy 3, Southern California 1--Rachelle Moroian had eight kills for visiting Southern California Christian (4-4, 0-2), which lost, 6-15, 9-15, 15-6, 7-15.
In the Empire League:
Cypress 3, El Dorado 0--Michelle Woiemberghe had 14 kills for host Cypress (1-4, 1-0), which won, 15-4, 15-8, 15-12.
Kennedy 3, Katella 2--Jennifer Agustin had 15 kills and five aces in the 13-15, 17-15, 16-14, 8-15, 15-7 victory. Claire Lee added 13 kills and 25 assists for Kennedy (7-0, 1-0).
In the Freeway League:
Sunny Hills 3, Troy 0--Jennifer Coopman had nine kills to lead Sunny Hills, the fifth-ranked team in Orange County, to a 15-6, 15-5, 15-6 sweep. Sunny Hills is 7-0, 1-0.
Fullerton 3, Buena Park 0--Erin Wilson of Fullerton (3-3, 1-0) had 13 aces in the 15-3, 15-7, 15-11 victory. Nadia Hoerner added 12 kills.
In the Garden Grove League:
Rancho Alamitos 3, Garden Grove 1--Sonia Ramirez had seven kills to lead Rancho Alamitos (3-4, 2-2) to a 15-2, 15-13, 8-15, 15-8 victory.
Bolsa Grande 3, La Quinta 1--Kelly Brunner had 10 kills for Bolsa Grande (6-3, 2-2) in a 15-12, 7-15, 15-9, 15-6 victory.
Los Amigos 3, Santiago 0--Tofi Togagae had nine kills and Stacy Tagatauli served five aces for Los Amigos (5-2, 4-0), which won, 15-8, 15-3, 15-12.
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 3, Ontario Christian 0--Courtney Owens had 11 kills and Kensey Zuelata served six aces as 10th-ranked Calvary Chapel (2-1, 1-0) won, 15-3, 15-5, 15-6.
In Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Beach 3, Costa Mesa 0--Rose Kuhn had nine kills and Christie Collisson had 29 assists to lead host Laguna Beach to a 15-1, 15-0, 15-1 victory.
Laguna Hills 3, Aliso Niguel 0--Misty Thompson had seven kills, 12 assists and six aces for Laguna Hills, which won, 15-8, 15-6, 15-7. Laguna Hills is 4-3, 1-0.
Estancia 3, University 2--Andrea Ilicscu had 10 kills and nine blocks for host University, which lost, 11-15, 15-4, 9-15, 15-10, 13-15.
In the Orange League:
Savanna 3, Western 2--Jenny Aguirre aced the last two serves to give Savanna a 16-14 victory in the fifth game. Savanna (4-4, 1-0) won the opener, 21-19, but dropped two of the next three to force the deciding game. Amy Sheets had a game-high 18 kills for Western and Amy Klingelsmith led the Rebels with 16.
Valencia 3, Magnolia 0--Carrie Ritchey had 10 kills to lead Valencia (4-3, 1-0) to a 15-2, 15-2, 15-9 victory in its season opener.
In the Sea View League:
Newport Harbor 3, Corona del Mar 0--Misty May had 20 kills and Jannette Hecker 43 assists to lead top-ranked Newport Harbor (5-0, 1-0) to a 15-4, 16-14, 15-8 sweep. Julie Hecker led the Sailors with six digs.
Woodbridge 3, Irvine 0--Mary Heinecke had 11 kills and Devin Nelson 33 assists to lead host Woodbridge (6-2, 1-0) over Irvine, 15-13, 15-7, 15-7.
El Toro 3, Santa Margarita 1--Sabrina King had 14 kills for host Santa Margarita, which lost to El Toro, 12-15, 5-15, 15-1, 6-15.
In the Sunset League:
Edison 3, Esperanza 1--Third-ranked Edison (7-0, 1-0) was led by Erin McGown’s 15 kills and Kari Hogancamp’s 11 digs as the Chargers won, 6-15, 15-8, 15-4, 15-6, at Esperanza.
Marina 3, Los Alamitos 1--Marcy Crouch had 21 kills and Jill Waltmeyer added 15 kills as seventh-ranked Marina (6-2, 1-0) defeated visiting Los Alamitos, 19-17, 7-15, 15-4, 15-10.
