HALF MOON BAY--More fall fun awaits at the Art and Pumpkin Festival, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 15-16. Compete in pumpkin-carving and pumpkin pie-eating contests and taste an assortment of pumpkin foods. PERRIS--The 48th annual Farmers Fair and Expo is themed “We’ll Stirrup Some Fun,” Oct. 15-23. Featured: Horse shows, carnivals, racing pigs, concerts and more. BAKERSFIELD--The Village Artisan’s Medieval Faire is Oct. 15-16 in Central Park, 19th and R streets. Costumed participants offer arts and crafts and ethnic foods, and entertainment is staged by a Shakespearean troupe, dancing groups and others. Free. (805) 328-1943.
