Oxnard Man, 54, Arrested in Molestation

A 54-year-old Oxnard man was arrested Friday evening on suspicion of rape and child molestation, police said.
Manuel Guerra is accused of raping and molesting a 17-year-old Oxnard girl over an eight-year period, Det. Ken Kent said in a press release. Police arrested Guerra as he walked along the 1500 block of Visalia Street shortly before 5 p.m., the release said.
Guerra was booked into Ventura County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Bustillos said. No further details were available.
