SEASON AT A GLANCE: Jacobsen, a 6-foot-4 forward who has signed with University of San Diego, is a big reason why Crescenta Valley is 9-0 and ranked ninth in the state by Cal-Hi Sports. Jacobsen averaged 21 points and 7.4 rebounds as Crescenta Valley, fourth in the Pacific League, advanced to the Southern Section Division I-AA final last season.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Jacobsen was selected most valuable player of the Crescenta Valley tournament after averaging 25.7 points over four games as the Falcons won the tournament title. Jacobsen scored 29 points against San Gabriel, 23 against Poly and a season-high 33 against Blair. He scored 18 in the title game, a 76-62 victory over Bellflower.
