Candidates Can Apply for Commission Seats

Four city commissioners’ terms will expire soon and candidates are being asked to apply for the vacancies.
The terms of Planning Commission members Joan Johnson and Mark Handler, Community Services Commissioner David Coffin and Traffic Commissioner Bruce Holst will expire March 31. All but Holst are eligible for reappointment.
Anyone interested in applying for the appointed posts is asked to contact City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd., by March 6.
City Council members will interview applicants on March 7 and March 21 at 6 p.m. They will make appointments after the interviews are complete.
Planning commissioners are allowed to serve two consecutive four-year terms while community services commissioners are allowed three consecutive three-year terms and traffic commissioners are allowed two consecutive four-year terms or a maximum of 10 years.
