Paul W. Schwegler, 57, retired vice president of TRW who frequently represented the aerospace firm in Washington. Born in Cleveland, Schwegler was educated at Ohio Wesleyan University. He joined TRW in 1960 and spent his entire career with the firm, retiring in 1993. As vice president for quality and systems assurance, Schwegler had the task of strengthening security precautions at the top-secret facility after convicted spy Christopher Boyce revealed that his plant security clearances had enabled him to pass defense secrets to the Soviet Union in the mid-1970s.
