. . . Officials at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station announced that Brig. Gen. Donald E.P. Miller would take command of the base from Brig. Gen. William A. Bloomer, who was retiring.
Bloomer had flown 330 combat missions during the Vietnam War. Miller was director of public affairs at Marine headquarters in Washington.
