Classic Silent Films to Screen on 3 Nights

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is presenting three nights of classic silent film with original musical scores this month at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills. “The Last Command,” a 1928 American film that explores the inner workings of Hollywood, will screen April 11 at 8 p.m.
“Nosferatu,” a 1922 German film, is the original Dracula tale. It will be shown April 12 at 8 p.m. and April 13 at 8 p.m.
The April 12 and 13 screenings will be preceded by a pre-screening lecture (free to ticket holders) at 7 p.m.
