Youth : News for the 18-and-under crowd : City OKs New Roof for Youth Club Gym

With help from the City Council, the gymnasium at the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster will get a new $55,000 roof.
Westminster owns the facility at 14400 Chestnut St. and rents it to the nonprofit youth club for a nominal yearly fee. Officials said that the old roof was in poor condition and was not protecting a new hardwood floor installed last year.
Money for the new roof and 12 skylights will come from federal grants distributed through the city.
