* Why are Valley residents so myopic about tunneling?
Constant speculation and hypothesis about land sinkage have eroded the Valley subway dream more than any tunneling. And continued quibbling about which route to take will do nothing to solve gas price increases, smog or freeway gridlock. We must support the Metro Rail link now before government gets tired of our indecisive bumbling and the sixth-biggest city in the United States gets no transportation funding.
