Run Will Aid Children of Crime Victims

Round-trip tickets to Europe, Australia and Hawaii will be among the prizes awarded to winners of a 10K benefit run Saturday.
The event, Janie’s Run for Youth Scholarships, is being organized by the same citizen group credited by Fountain Valley police with helping to find a suspect in the slaying of Janie Carver.
The United Airlines flight attendant and mother of two who was shot to death as she returned home from her morning jog around Mile Square Park last summer.
Proceeds from the run, which will also include a 10K relay and 5K walks and runs, will be used for scholarships for the children of crime victims.
