Panel to Focus on Independent Short Films

Independent Feature Project/West presents a panel discussion on “Short Circuit: Exhibiting and Distributing Your Short Film,” on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Studios Chaplin Theater, 650 N. Bronson Ave., in Hollywood.
John Paul Allen, director of the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, is the moderator and others on the panel include Mitchell Block, president of Direct Cinema Ltd.; Gary Garfinkel, director of film acquisitions for the Sundance Channel and Showtime Networks; and Jon Gerrans, co-president of Strand Releasing.
Topics to be discussed are self-distribution, rights and licensing, and foreign and video markets.
Tickets are $20 for IFP/West members and $25 for all others.
