Businesses to Display Products at Expo

The Calabasas Chamber of Commerce, in an effort to expose the community to local merchants and let them test their wares, will hold its first Summer Business Showcase on Tuesday evening at Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center.
The chamber had held business expos sporadically in the past, but the summer showcase is an attempt to revise and continue them, and to increase participation.
“One of the things about the chamber is to be a benefit to the businesses, and this showcase is a benefit,” said Jeff Blum, chairman of the event.
Blum said he hopes the free event, which will offer music and a raffle, will introduce local residents to community businesses.
“They can learn what vendors are in the area, and what they have to offer,” he said. “They can just browse around to different booths. It can be a little intimidating to just walk in a store.”
For the showcase, chamber members will set up booths from 5 to 8 p.m. to display their products on the center’s tennis patio, 23400 Park Sorrento.
