ATLANTA — Even with its fleet grounded, a ValuJet plane was in an accident Friday.
A delivery truck slammed into the left wing of a ValuJet DC-9 parked at a gate at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport.
The accident was described as a minor fender-bender by airport officials. The driver was taken to a hospital but was not seriously injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration grounded ValuJet last month after concluding that the Atlanta-based airline could not ensure the effectiveness of its maintenance work. A ValuJet plane crashed May 11 in the Everglades, killing 110.
