Matthews Studio Equipment Signs Nashville Deal

Matthews Studio Equipment Group, a Burbank supplier of lighting and grip equipment to the entertainment production industry, said its Hollywood Rental Co. subsidiary has entered an agreement to share equipment and revenues with a Tennessee company.
Under the terms of the agreement, Matthews has acquired the rental assets of DR&A; Inc. of Nashville. Matthews will also provide additional equipment to help DR&A; expand its equipment rental business. In exchange, Matthews will give DR&A; more than $1 million in cash, warrants and equipment.
DR&A; provides services to filmmakers and country music video and television commercial producers in the Nashville area. Its management will remain.
The DR&A; deal is similar to others Matthews has completed in Phoenix and Seattle.
