Iraq Fighting

Whose side are we on?
According to The Times, there are two kinds of Kurds in northern Iraq (Sept. 6). One, loyal to Iraq and the other, loyal to Iran. The second group has been receiving aid from Iran. The Iraqi loyalists asked Saddam Hussein for help to prevent a takeover by the Iran faction. He helped. We cut off that help. Does that mean we are now good friends with Iran? For one, I am not, nor are most Americans.
