Founders Day Events for Adults, Children

The city will celebrate its 81st Founders Day with a masquerade ball for adults, a Monster Mash party for children and a parade for everybody.
The ball is scheduled for Oct. 25 at Old Ranch Country Club, 3901 Lampson Ave., from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. The children’s party will be from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Marina Center.
The adult party will feature music, dancing and dinner. Tickets are $25 before the event or $30 at the door.
Children will have a separate dinner, dance and costume party sponsored by the city’s recreation department. Tickets are $15 per child.
The parade will be at noon Oct. 27 on Electric Avenue, with concerts and booths afterward.
