Former Los Amigos baseball Coach Mike Anderson has been hired as the boys’ basketball coach at Bolsa Grande, Matador Athletic Director Ron Inman said.
Anderson, who also was a varsity basketball assistant at Los Amigos, returned to the Garden Grove Unified School District as a substitute teacher this fall after seven years in private business. He replaces Dick Bradarich, who guided the Matadors to an 11-14 record last season.

The Century League football opener between Foothill and Santa Ana Valley, originally scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Santa Ana Stadium, has been moved to Western High at 7 p.m.
According to a Valley spokesman, Foothill requested the change because the Knights preferred to play at night. Santa Ana Stadium was not available Saturday evening because Mater Dei is hosting its South Coast League opener against Mission Viejo there at 7:30 p.m.
