The station at 6502 Ridge Park Road will house one engine company and be staffed around the clock by three firefighters, officials said. The Newport Beach Fire Department will also be available to assist the crew at Station No. 52.
Funds to build the station were provided by an assessment district under an agreement between the Orange County Fire Authority and the Irvine Co., developer of Newport Coast.
The public is invited to the dedication, set for 1:30 p.m.
