Re “City Council Will Go to Court Over Prop. 218,” Nov. 18:
Where do Jackie Goldberg and the rest of the City Council think they are coming from?
The voters of the state, believing they have voted on the proposition under the democratic process, are now being faced with a lawsuit brought on by the politicians they (the voters) put into office, using said voter funds to institute the suit.
Instead of trying to circumvent taxpayers’ voting rights, the City Council en masse should move off their duffs, cut out the waste in city government, quit listening to the already overpaid employees sobbing for more salary and try, for once, to represent the citizens of Los Angeles.
