* Re “Group Promotes Image of Christians as Political Moderates,” Nov. 18:
What is all this nonsense about the “extreme religious right”? The Christian Coalition and other Bible believers espouse what probably 95% of Americans believed 40 years ago morally.
After many years of media brain-washing portraying Christians as mean-spirited and evil, no wonder the attitude of some of the public is negative. Democrats, Republicans and most of the third party candidates spoke of the morality, welfare and crime crisis. Pat Robertson and many others considered “extreme” are busy helping renew lives, providing huge amounts of food for the needy and sending medical care here and around the world. This help crosses racial and religious lines and impacts inner cities and the poor globally.
Let’s have more of this “scary” stuff!
