You have to hand it to those folks at the bowl alliance.
They took a perfectly good Orange Bowl game and demanded that it be shifted out of the stadium that bears its name and much of its history, and moved to something called Pro Player Stadium, which was once Joe Robbie Stadium, but you know how that goes.
The end result was more than 30,000 empty seats as the smallest crowd in 50 years, 51,212, watched Nebraska beat Virginia Tech, 41-21.
One question: Is it too late to get the bowl alliance folks involved in the new L.A. arena mess?
