A special demonstration by members of the 1988 Olympic Taekwondo demonstration team will take place at 6 tonight at Ko’s Taekwondo Studio in Simi Valley to mark the opening of the new facility.
The event also will include a reception at 5 p.m. and a potluck dinner at 7 p.m. The studio is located at 1161 East Los Angeles Ave., in the Mountain Gate Plaza.

The Valley Oaks volleyball club is holding tryouts for girls in the 10th and lower grades today from 6-9 p.m. at Portola Middle School in Tarzana and Monday from 12-3 p.m. at Grant High School in Van Nuys.
