Orlando Knocks Miami Down a Notch

The Orlando Magic tightened the Atlantic Division race Sunday, and it still hopes to join it.
Orlando used balanced scoring, led by Penny Hardaway’s 19 points, and 51% shooting to defeat the Heat, 99-87, at Miami.
Miami fell into a virtual tie with New York for the division lead. Orlando, hampered because of injuries in the early part of the season, is 10 games behind.
“If we have everybody healthy, I’m convinced we can play with anybody in this league,” Hardaway said. “I refuse to even look at the standings. If we win, everything will take care of itself. If we lose, our situation will only get worse.”
Anderson and Dennis Scott each scored 18 points and Gerald Wilkins added 16.
Indiana 111, Philadelphia 107--Rookie Allen Iverson scored a season-high 37 points at Indianapolis, but his 76ers still lost their 12th game in a row. Iverson made only nine of 24 shots for the the 76ers, who lost for the 22nd time in 23 games.
Vancouver 100, Toronto 92--Blue Edwards scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter and the Grizzlies defeated the Raptors at Vancouver in the first meeting of the season between the two Canadian teams.
Portland 102, Utah 96--Kenny Anderson had 26 points, Arvydas Sabonis 22 and Isaiah Rider 21 for the Trail Blazers, who outscored Utah, 33-20, in the fourth quarter to win in Portland.
Utah has dropped nine of its last 11 road games.
It was the eighth victory in the last 10 games for the Trail Blazers, who have defeated Houston, Detroit, the Lakers and Utah during their hot streak.
