Litton, 2 Other Companies to Design New Navy Ship

Litton Industries Inc. said its Ingalls Shipbuilding division, together with Lockheed Martin and Newport News shipbuilding, has won a $15-million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency to jointly design the Navy’s Arsenal Ship.
The Litton team was one of three chosen to provide designs. One of the three will be selected early next year to construct the first ship.
