Applicants Sought for Rotary Scholarships

Members of the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise are accepting scholarship applications from local college students and others wishing to study abroad for one year.

Students receiving a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship, awarded annually by Rotary International, will have all expenses paid up to a maximum of $22,000 while they study in one of the more than 155 countries with active Rotary Club chapters.

The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship Program is the world’s largest privately sponsored scholastic endowment for international study. Since its establishment in 1947, more than $320 million has been awarded to students displaying exemplary academic merit and citizenship in the form of some 29,000 international scholarships.

The Rotary Foundation scholarships are open to graduate students, undergraduates who have completed more than two years of course work, and people with a high school diploma who have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years.
