LAKERS TONIGHT

Opponent--San Antonio Spurs.

Site--Alamodome, San Antonio.

Time--5.

TV--Channel 9, TBS.

Radio--KLAC (570).

Records--Lakers 32-12, Spurs 11-29.

Record vs. Spurs--1-1.

Laker update--They are 1-8 in the Alamodome and have found trouble in every conceivable way. The first visit of this season, Nov. 13, it was a 95-83 loss that included Cedric Ceballos partially tearing a knee ligament, San Antonio Executive Vice President Russ Bookbinder leaving his baseline seat to step on the floor and exchange words with Shaquille O’Neal, and the Lakers shooting 39.5%.

Spur update--Gregg Popovich, having already moved from the front office to take over as coach, may be headed into the rotation next as the Spurs’ injury problems mount. The latest is the loss of Will Perdue for about a week after he suffered a broken bone in his face Sunday. That means Greg “Cadillac” Anderson probably will start at center tonight and Jaime Feick may be the first big man off the bench, about 24 hours after being signed to a 10-day contract.
