He’s green: Brian Laibow, who averaged 18.2 points at Agoura High last season and was a member of The Times’ All-Valley team, is getting a gradual introduction to Ivy League basketball at Dartmouth.
A 6-foot-3, 185-pound point guard, Laibow appeared in eight games for the Big Green (12-5). Laibow has played 36 minutes with a high of 10 in a victory over Middlebury. He is 8 of 10 from the free throw line and is zero of six from the field.
Coming home: Former North Hollywood High basketball standout Damon Ollie, now out of a cast for a fractured right ankle, might return to action for Montana State in time for a Big Sky Conference game at Cal State Northridge on Feb. 8.
Ollie, who transferred to Montana State from Santa Monica College, was averaging 13.6 points and 7.4 rebounds through 10 games before he was injured minutes into a game on Dec. 28.
“He won’t be in great shape, but we will have him for the stretch run,” said Coach Mick Durham, whose team has gone 5-4 in the Big Sky without Ollie.
