Baumgartner Out Up to Three Weeks

Enforcer Ken Baumgartner was placed on the injured reserve list Monday after he suffered a fractured bone in his right hand during Sunday’s 6-1 loss to Calgary. Baumgartner is expected to be sidelined up to three weeks.
The Ducks recalled rookies Ruslan Salei and Jeremy Stevenson from their minor-league affiliate at Baltimore.

The object of the game is to put the puck in the net, but it’s difficult to win when only a couple of players do so consistently.
“Some guys have to do better--if they can do better,” Coach Ron Wilson said.
Here are the Ducks’ top eight scorers, their season total and the date of their last goal:
Teemu Selanne (32 goals) scored Sunday; Paul Kariya (24 goals) scored Wednesday; Steve Rucchin (12 goals) scored Jan. 31; Warren Rychel (nine goals) scored Jan. 8, but has been troubled by back spasms; Joe Sacco (nine goals) scored Feb. 4; Dmitri Mironov (eight goals) scored Jan. 27; Kevin Todd (eight goals) scored Dec. 1, but has been sidelined five games because of tendinitis in his left elbow; Jari Kurri (eight goals) scored Jan. 22.

Selanne believes right wing Roman Oksiuta, who returned last weekend from a nagging groin strain, could bolster the Ducks’ offense.
“He’s a great hockey player,” Selanne said. “We have to get his conditioning and his talent going.”
