IRVINE — Trimedyne Inc. said Thursday that Getz Brothers, a distributor of cardiovascular devices in Japan and the Pacific Rim, has purchased a 5% stake in Cardiodyne Inc., a subsidiary of Trimedyne, for $1 million.
Trimedyne said Getz also agreed to buy its laser systems and disposable laser fibers for clinical trials in Japan, which are expected to begin in mid-1997.
Trimedyne makes lasers and other systems for minimally invasive surgery.
