Shooting Slump Worsens for Sealy

Guard Malik Sealy, who went through a six-game shooting slump recently, made only two of 10 shots in Sunday’s 12-point loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Sports Arena.
“Man, I’m tired of talking about my shot,” Sealy said. “I’m missing wide-open shots, it’s like I’m shooting with crippled knuckles.”

Center Dwayne Schintzius, who had been held out of 10 of the last 12 games by Clipper Coach Bill Fitch, played nine scoreless minutes, getting five rebounds and two blocked shots.
“I think Schintzius did a good job for what he had to do,” Fitch said. “That’s how you get time. If he gets in and plays like that, he’ll get four or five minutes a crack.”

Trail Blazer guard Isaiah Rider missed his second consecutive game because of an upper respiratory infection.
