Softball junkies should be able to get their fill this weekend in almost any pocket of Orange County. The Canyon Michelle Carew Memorial Classic begins Friday and continues Saturday at Peralta Park with El Dorado, Los Alamitos and Canyon among the top local teams participating. The second round of the Woodbridge Easter Classic takes place Saturday with Woodbridge-Newhall Hart, Upland-Irvine, Saugus-El Toro and Crescenta Valley-Santa Margarita playing at 1 p.m. for the right to play in the semifinals at 7. The championship games are Monday at Harvard Park. The first and second rounds of the Baron Classic will be on Saturday at Mile Square Park with Mater Dei, Pacifica, Thousand Oaks and Fountain Valley the seeded teams. The semifinal and championship rounds are April 15.
