Actress Geri Keams will entertain visitors at the Children’s Museum at La Habra today, telling stories about Navajo culture.
Keams, best known for her role as a doctor’s receptionist on the TV series “Northern Exposure,” will share stories about her heritage that she learned from her grandmother, a well-known Navajo rug weaver.
The noon program augments the museum’s exhibit “The First Californians,” museum officials said.
Keams worked on the Disney film “Pocahontas” and has written poetry and several children’s books about Navajo traditions.
The museum is at 301 S. Euclid. Admission to today’s session is $4.
