Disney’s Cheezy Ideas Grate on Sports Fans

The Disney organization has done it again. I assume the new Angels’ logo is supposed to be something to do with angel wings. However, at a first glance it resembles a pigeon climbing the letter A. Last year’s logo was a CA symbol, which always reminded me of a U.S. Postal abbreviation.
There was a time when we had a nifty logo: a halo over the letter A. It was simple, clever and memorable. But we had to get rid of it to show that Disney management is doing its job in revamping the Angels.

First it was plum and teal with a mascot on fire. Now it’s periwinkle and fans dusted with warning-track dirt. Hey Disney, take a lesson from the O’Malleys: the 10th player on the field is the fans, not the owner. Stop messing with “the show.” And bring back the organ. Major league baseball is steeped in tradition and the organ is one of them.
