MILWAUKEE — Domenic Pittis scored his second consecutive winning goal in overtime, and Tom Draper stopped 29 shots as the Ice Dogs beat the Milwaukee Admirals, 1-0, to sweep the best-of-five Turner Cup quarterfinal playoff series Friday night.
The Ice Dogs advance to the Western Conference semifinals starting Friday against the two-time defending champion Utah Grizzlies.
Pittis scored at 3:55 of overtime after a centering pass by Brian Chapman was deflected off Milwaukee goaltender Danny Lorenz’s stick and landed at the side of the net.
The Ice Dogs were 5-5-2 against the Grizzlies in the regular season.
