TONIGHT’S GAME

ANGELS’ ALLEN WATSON (1-2, 5.81 ERA) vs. ORIOLES’ JIMMY KEY (5-0, 2.21 ERA)

Camden Yards, Baltimore, 4:30 p.m. PDT

Radio--KTZN (710)

* UPDATE: Watson, who is coming off his best start of the season, Saturday’s seven-inning shutout of the Chicago White Sox, will be pitching on three days’ rest, which doesn’t concern the left-hander nearly as much as Camden Yards’ 364-foot “power” alley in left-center. “All I keep hearing about is this park, that it’s like Wrigley Field or Coors Field,” Watson said. “I’ll just try to keep the ball down and force ground balls. You can’t change the way you pitch because of the park.” Angel starters have pitched into the seventh inning 10 times in 29 games this season, and the team is 8-2 in those games. Key, acquired as a free agent from the New York Yankees, has the fifth-best earned-run average in the American League and has the sixth-highest winning percentage (.619) among active major leaguers.
