ENCINO — Kevin Jerkens pitched a no-hitter and Sean Hanrahan hit a grand slam for Notre Dame High in an 11-0 victory over Harvard-Westlake in a Mission League baseball game Tuesday at Franklin Field.
The Knights (16-7, 6-3) moved to within one game of league-leading Chaminade, which lost to Loyola, 5-3, on Tuesday.
Jerkens (5-3), a senior right-hander, had seven strikeouts and did not walk a batter.
Hanrahan, who plays third base, made a throwing error in the second inning that removed the possibility of a perfect game by Jerkens.
Hanrahan finished three for three with four runs batted in.
Roy Ledo, Ryan Stonerock and Jerkens each added two hits and an RBI.
