CITY SECTION BOYS’ TENNIS FINALS

* At Studio City Racquet Centre, Friday, 2 p.m.

* Division 4-A, Palisades vs. Granada Hills.

* Division 3-A, Van Nuys vs. Eagle Rock.

* The team finals have a familiar look, with three of four teams making return trips. Last year, Palisades defeated Granada Hills, 22-7 1/2, in the 4-A championship match, and Kennedy defeated Van Nuys, 24 1/2-8, in the 3-A match. Palisades, seeking its third consecutive title, has outscored its two playoff opponents, 52 1/2-6 1/2. The Dolphins have their top three singles players back: Artin Tafazoli, Danny Westerman and Sergey Kordonskey. Van Nuys will face an Eagle Rock team that upset second-seeded Van Nuys Birmingham, 16 1/2-13, in the semifinals. In the other 3-A semifinal, Van Nuys upset defending champion Kennedy behind the strong play of its doubles teams.
