New textbooks recommended for language arts classes in English and Spanish for kindergarten through third-grade students are on display in the Garden Grove Unified School District’s Media and Technology Center, 10331 Stanford Ave.
Parents interested in previewing the textbooks may look them over from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 12. On June 4, hours will be extended until 8 p.m. and the books will be on display in the district office annex building.
The textbook committee has recommended adoption of the Collections for Young Scholars series by Open Court for use in English language arts classes, and the MacMillian-McGraw Hill series Cuentacuentos for Spanish language arts for primary language instruction.
Information on viewing or textbooks is available by calling (714) 663-6188.
