PORT HUENEME — Police arrested two people and seized $62,000 and an ounce of black tar heroin as part of a weeklong investigation into narcotics sales in Ventura County, authorities said Friday.
Officers from the Sheriff’s Department, FBI and Port Hueneme Police Department arrested 30-year-old Tyrone Stine of Ventura on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and heroin for sale, authorities said. He allegedly was seen selling narcotics and was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Wendy Place in Port Hueneme.
Police say they found more than two pounds of methamphetamine and a handgun in Stine’s car. A search of the Wendy Place residence and Stine’s home in the 2700 block of Harbor Boulevard in Ventura turned up additional methamphetamine, heroin and several weapons, one of which was equipped with a laser sight, officers said.
The cash was found in a safe at the Wendy Place address.
Dana Asdel, 24, of Ventura was arrested at the Wendy Place residence on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine, authorities said. She was booked into County Jail and later posted bail.
On Friday, Stine was being held at County Jail on narcotics and weapons charges. Bail was set at $255,000.
